Description:
- 1. Purpose of the Job
Manage all human resources processes, policies, procedures, and related activities to include; talent acquisition, professional development, succession planning, change management, organizational development, performance management, compliance, ethics, compensation, benefits administration, mobility, and employee relations. Monitor human resources process and performance metrics, assess trends, and initiate improvement actions or initiatives. Implement human resources initiatives, programs, and projects. Foster the business partner and value added dimensions of human resources management. Advise Business Unit President and Managers on Human Resources Management.
- 2. Principal Activities
Employee Relations
- Promote a positive and cooperative atmosphere to increase employee engagement. Create company strategic training and organizational development plan to meet personal, professional, and organizational needs of company employees.
- Determine, recommend, and implement employee relations practices and resolutions necessary to establish positive employee relationships and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
- Conduct employee investigations, facilitate the successful resolution of employee relations issues, and implement recommendations.
- Conduct exit interviews, review findings, analyze trends and develop improvement initiatives as needed.
- Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Compensation
- Implement annual merit pay delivery and related tasks in accordance with TDSI policies and procedures.
- Insure competitive pay practices.
- Review and evaluate position descriptions, assign level of responsibility (LR).
- Confer with TDSI Human Resources for advice and counsel as necessary.
- Maintain the integrity of the wage and salary system.
Compliance
- Manage all company human resources compliance actions; with all existing governmental and labor organizations and agencies, and attending programs to include Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor and the OFCCP, Worker’s Compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), etc. Reduce company exposure to litigation, fines, and penalties.
- Direct the preparation of information requested or required for compliance with laws. Serves as the primary contact with the company employment law attorney and outside government agencies.
- Uphold the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies, federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Serve as unit Ethics Officer.
Recruitment
- Create company strategic recruitment and selection plan.
- Manage the recruitment process including identifying, sourcing, and hiring top talent in the industry.
- Insure comprehensive new hire orientation and on-boarding process.
- Build and maintain relations with universities, professional and civic organizations to augment sourcing capability and increase candidate flow.
Performance Management
- Lead the implementation of the People1st Performance Management System including the annual activity, mid-year review, objective setting, professional and career discussions.
- Support the Annual People Review process for development, mobility, and succession planning. Develop and coordinate grievances and mediate workplace disputes.
Management
- Evaluate procedures and technology solutions to improve human resources data management.
- Recommend and maintain an organizational structure and staffing levels to accomplish company goals and objectives.
- Evaluate company culture and provide recommendations on changes to accomplish company goals and objectives.
- Evaluate and recommend human resource outsourcing opportunities and identify potential vendors.
- Develop and manage annual budgets for the division and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses.
- Manage and develop Human Resource Generalist.
- Recommend and establish company policies and procedures working within Thales Corporate recommendations and TDSI Guidelines.
- Work with department managers and corporate staff to develop three and five year business plans for the company.
- Establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Serve on planning and policy-making committees as required.
Competence Requirements (Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training)
Experience/Training
Minimum Requirements:
- BA Degree
- PHR/SPHR Certifications
- Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience in a global technology company covering all facets of Human Resources Management, including employment, compensation, employee relations, recruitment and retention, performance management, training and development, domestic and international mobility.
Preferred Requirements:
- BA, preferred in Human Resources Management, Labor Law, or Social Science, or related field.
- Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification desired.
Knowledge/Qualifications
- Solution-oriented professional with demonstrated track record of accomplishments and providing credible, value-added HR services to business partners, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (estimate up to 20% of time).
- Ability to influence and be impactful in a highly-matrixed, international company.
- Previous HR Management experience required.
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems, employment law, and contemporary human resources practices.

1. Purpose of the Job
The VP of Product Marketing will have a deep understanding of the Information Technology Security Industry and will utilize this understanding to develop profitable and innovative product initiatives. The VP of Product Marketing must be expert at identifying and collecting key market information, using primary and secondary as well as quantitative and qualitative research. From that foundation of market knowledge, the VP of Product Marketing must be able to articulate a strategy and set of actionable tactics and Market Requirements Documents for use by the Products Management team. The VP of Product Marketing will be utilized as one of the primary product experts within the company, and must have sufficient technical skill to communicate our capabilities to end users, partners, developers, and other audiences such as Press and analysts. The VP of Product Marketing will also work closely with the Sales and Product Management teams on product strategy and roadmap. The VP of Product Marketing will also lead and drive the strategies that include product positioning, messaging, and product marketing, as well as working closely with Communications the external campaigns.
2. Principal Activities
Product Strategy and Positioning – The VP of Product Marketing plays a crucial role in determining the product strategy and positioning, together with Product Management and Sales, monitoring industry developments closely and translates these into the overall product strategy.
- Market Insights – The VP of Product Marketing is responsible for collecting market data from internal and external sources, for analyzing the data, and for producing quantitative analysis covering market size, growth rate, profitability, industry cost structures, distribution channels, market trends, competitor information, and key success factors.
- Analyze competitive product offerings, internalize market dynamics, prioritize customer needs and translate that into a tactical Market requirements/roadmap for the product management and sales teams.
- Collaborate with the Product Management Team in the collection, generation and exploitation of ideas for comprehensive product delivery.
- Ensure customer and other feedback is prioritized and incorporated into market and product requirements.
- Develop ongoing marketing, positioning and communications strategy for customers and partners that differentiate the offering.
- Work collaboratively across Product Management, Communications, and Sales groups to secure buy-in and drive issues to resolution that impact product management, development, sales, support, pricing, etc.
- Manage annual budgeting and planning processes.
- Develop necessary financial models.
- Serve as key liaison with other teams (e.g., Product Management, Communications, Sales, Legal, Engineering and Construction, etc.) and projects.
- Creating and managing the Product Marketing team within a matrix environment and across multiple office sites.
3. Organizational Relationships

Competence Requirements (Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training)
Experience/Training
- Bachelor’s Degree, MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of strong business-to-business product marketing experience in IT Security Industry and with all phases of bringing new products and features to market, from conception to launch and on-going improvement/iteration
Knowledge/Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of major Public Key Infrastructure vendors, market position and product applications
- Significant experience in creating and executing effective outbound strategic marketing programs
- Ability to work effectively, knowledgeably and collaboratively with a wide range of company functions
- Creativity in new ways of articulating our value to users, and differentiating Thales against competitors
